Doug Lambert Emphasizes Unity In Solving Gunstock Problem
The controversy surrounding Gunstock Mountain Resort has been portrayed as a political fight for so long that people have accepted that it is all about good guys and bad guys, rather than about competing views on the best way to operate a county-owned recreational area. If there is one good thing to come out of the current crisis in Gilford, it is that nearly everyone is now working toward a solution that focuses on what is best for Gunstock.
Gunstock Area Commissioner Doug Lambert declared during Sunday’s special meeting, “I must say that, when we talk about the word ‘side’, I don’t think there are any sides in this issue. The only side that we have is a mountainside, and it’s out there, and that’s why we’re here.” (One has to wonder who his speechwriter is.)
