Ben recalls that “turkeys falling out of the trees seemed to happen a lot. At the farm they flew up into the trees to sleep at night and they often seemed to fall out of the trees while sleeping. Seemed like it happened mostly first thing in the morning. Maybe before they had their first cup of coffee. They seemed to wake up and somewhat recover on the way down making lots of noise and partially recovering some flight skills before hitting the ground. They never seemed to be any worse for the wear.”
