Just because someone can do something does not mean they should do so.
On the advice an attorney, the Gunstock Area Commission has voted to strike a section of the approved minutes of a meeting at which previous commissioners read into the record a report alleging abusive and self-serving conduct by Commissioner Peter Ness. The report was used in an unsuccessful attempt to remove Ness from the commission.
A recent legal review of the commission’s history found that the so-called “Ness Report” was a politically motivated document, and that Ness had only been performing his fiduciary duties in asking for information from the Gunstock staff.
